Connectivity

  • Gen-1 Connectivity Troubleshooting:
  1. Make sure the app itself is fully updated

  2. Check for latest firmware updates (if you are not on the most recent firmware, update it)

  3. Go into settings and tap "disconnect sensors" and "forget sensors". Then close the app and reopen it.

  4. Delete and reinstall the app. Then try again.

  5. If the sensors have a solid red light, go into settings, scroll down to the bottom and tap "DFU Recovery". From there, the sensors will connect, recover, and update. DO NOT do this if the sensors do not have a solid red light.

Gen-2 Calibration

Here are the steps to calibrate your Gen-2 device.

When you first receive your WurQ Gen-2 device you will need to do a quick one time calibration. Here are the simple steps:

  1. Go through onboarding on the app until it brings you to the connect and calibrate section.
  2. First, take your sensors out of the dock and turn them on.
  3. First, select your sensors and name them. You can name tham whatever you like, we recommend something that makes it clear they are yours.
  4. Once connected, place them face up on a flat surface like a desk, table, or shelf.
  5. From here, you should be able to press "Start Calibration" at the bottom of your screen. This will initiate a 60 second countdown. Wait for this to timer to stop. It is important that while sensors are calibrating that you do not touch them or the table they are on, as any sort of contact or movement will interrupt and fail calibration.
  6. Keep waiting and not touching the sensors or surface that they're on until the app prompts you to continue with onboarding.

Firmware updates

If a newer firmware version is available for your sensors, you'll automatically get a pop-up notification that will tell you to update the firmware. You can also check manually at any time by going to Settings → Firmware Update. You will see what firmware your sensors are currently on, and you will see a button to update to the latest firmware. If your sensors are already on the latest firmware, there is no need to update.

How to change sensors on the app (switching from Gen-1 to Gen-2 or switching to a replacement pair)

To switch from Gen-1 sensors to Gen-2 or to set up replacement sensors:

  1. Forget your sensors on the app (Settings → Forget Sensors)
  2. Select Freestyle
  3. Select Gen-2
  4. Calibrate your new sensors
