What are the do’s and don’ts when connecting my Gen 1 WurQ sensors?

Modified on Tue, 8 Sep at 5:06 PM

Following these guidelines will help ensure a smooth sensor connection and accurate workout tracking.

✅ Do’s

UPDATE YOUR FIRMWARE IF YOU HAVEN'T!

  1. Activate the sensors before connecting

    • Touch the metal nodes on the wrist sensor to turn it on, ONLY IF FIRMWARE IS STILL NOT UPDATED

    • If firmware is updated, just. put the sensors on and they will activate themselves since they are active 24/7

    • The RED LIGHT will light up to confirm it is active.

  2. Ensure proper placement

    • Wear the wrist sensor securely on your RIGHT WRIST with the sticker facing upright.

    • Position the chest sensor snugly against your skin, right below your chest for reliable data.

  3. Use the WurQ app to connect

    • Always connect sensors from within the WurQ app.

    • Make sure Bluetooth is turned on before tapping Connect Sensors.

  4. Ensure proper placement Connect within the active window

    • During this time, they should appear on the Sensor Connection screen in the app.
    • If they do not appear, touch the wrist sensor nodes to reactivate or take sensors off and put them back on. If they still do not appear, close to the app, turn your iPhone's bluetooth off and back on then try again.

❌ Don’ts

  1. Do not wear the sensors upside down

    • Incorrect orientation can impact detection and accuracy.

  2. Do not swap sensor positions

    • Each sensor has a specific role. Wrist and chest sensors are not interchangeable.

  3. Do not wear sensors loosely

    • Loose sensors can lead to connection issues and missed or inaccurate data.

  4. Do not pair sensors through iPhone Bluetooth settings

    • Sensors must be paired and connected only through the WurQ app.

If you’re still having trouble connecting, touch the wrist sensor nodes again and retry from the Sensor Connection screen. If the issue persists, WurQ Support is here to help. Access the In-app chat support.
